Hod Assaf Industries
Hod Assaf Industries Ltd, established in 1947, is among the leading companies in Israel for the production of steel for concrete reinforcement, for a wide variety of industries.
At the early stages of its operation, the company was a small nail manufacturing facility in the yard of a private house in Kiryat Ata.
Today, the company employs over 750 people.

Get to know our facilities
Recycling Facility
The recycling facility, located in Kiryat HaPlada in Akko, processes raw scrap purchased from industrial facilities, as well as scrap dealers.
After being sorted and processed, the scrap is transported to the melting facility as raw material for the production of steel ingots.
The Melting Facility
The Melting Facility
The melting facility is located in the Kiryat HaPlada complex in Akko, and spans approximately 80,000 square meters.
The facility’s operations include the melting of scrap and production of steel ingots for the company’s rolling mill located in Kiryat Gat.
The ingot production process includes melting scrap in a melting furnace using electric arc technology and adding various additives to obtain the properties and chemical composition necessary to create high-quality concrete reinforcement steel that meets the requirements of the Israeli standard IS 4466.
The casting of the ingots is carried out in a continuous casting system.
The facility’s quality assurance system performs quality control of both the process and the product at all stages of production.
The rolling mill
The rolling mill is located in Kiryat Gat, close to the steel processing facility, and covers an area of approximately 50,000 square meters.
The facility produces unprocessed steel from ingots – in the form of bars and wire rods, which are used to produce rebars, assembled steel structures, welded wire meshes, welded honeycomb meshes, fences and wires.
The facility produces hundreds of thousands of tons of steel for concrete reinforcement per year.
Processing Facilities
Hod operates two facilities for processing rebars, in Akko and Kiryat Gat.
The distribution of facilities in the north and south of the country allows for quick and efficient service to all customer sites throughout the country.
The group’s processing facilities, located in Akko and Kiryat Gat, produce wrought steel (cut, bent, welded into products, etc.) according to customer requirements, as well as pre-fabricated products for construction and infrastructure works.

With the intention of diversifying its investments, Hod acquired and founded several subsidiaries:
Hod Zamir Ltd
Holds the companies Iscol Trade and Levin Iron Ltd.
This subsidiary of Hod, with extensive experience and an established reputation as a supplier of construction tools and equipment, constitutes a synergistic addition to Hod’s activities and expands the range of services that Hod Group offers to its customers in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Hod Atir Ltd
The company has been manufacturing and installing steel fences on a large scale since 2014.
WIRES AND CABLES
The company is located in southeastern Romania and manufactures wires, wire ropes, steel cables for cranes, mines, anchors, and more.
Most of this company’s production is exported to the European market.
